This article gives step-by-step instructions on how to configure an Apollo integration within Fabius.

Introduction

The Apollo integration with Fabius allows you to seamlessly connect your Fabius account with Apollo, allowing you to import Accounts / Contacts which you would like us to generate analysis and messaging for. This integration relies on an API key, and this guide will walk you through the process of creating the API key in Apollo.io and integrating it with Fabius.

Step-by-Step Guide: Integrating Fabius with Apollo.io

Step 1: Creating an API Key in Apollo.io

  1. Begin by logging into your Apollo.io account using your credentials.

  2. Once logged in, navigate to the API Key settings page by going to https://developer.apollo.io/keys/.

  3. On the API Key settings page, click the option to Create New API Key.

  4. Provide a meaningful name and description for the API key.

  5. Check the option that says "Set as master key." This designation ensures that the key has the necessary permissions for integration.

  6. Apollo.io will generate the API key for you. Copy this key; you will need it in the next part of the integration.

Step 2: Integrating Apollo.io with Fabius

  1. Open a new browser tab and log in to your Fabius account.

  2. Navigate to the Settings menu by hovering over the gear icon on the left nav bar.

  3. From the drop-down menu, select Integrations.

  4. In the Integrations section, locate the Apollo.io integration card and click Configure.

  5. Enter the API key you obtained from Apollo.io.

  6. Click the Save button to save the integration settings.

Using the Apollo Integration in Fabius

With the Apollo integration successfully configured, you can now take advantage of its features within Fabius:

  • Importing Accounts and Contacts: Easily import and manage your Apollo accounts and contacts directly from your Fabius account.

  • Push Custom Messaging to Contacts: Once we've generated messaging for a contact, you can push those to the person as custom fields.

  • Add Contact to Cadence: Once a user has been pushed generated messaging, you can add them to the Fabius cadence to begin sending emails.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues during the integration process, consider the following steps:

  1. Ensure you have an active Apollo account and the necessary permissions to authorize integrations (the Professional plan or higher is required).

  2. Double-check that you're using the correct API credentials from Apollo.

  3. If problems persist, reach out to our support team via support@fabius.io for further assistance.
